You can find all the details and title requirements in the RATS! Canada Rulebook.

Titles are recognised by the Canadian Kennel Club, with the exception of Go to Ground titles.  It is not yet known if 2026 Alleyway Pursuit titles or the new Expert stream titles will be recognised by CKC, we will update this page as information becomes available.


TITLES
The title for each game is based on an abbreviation of the game’s name.

• Barn Ratting: BAR or BA
• Brush Hunt: BRH or BH
• Alleyway Pursuit: AWP or AP
• Go-to-ground: GTG or GT
• Trailing and Locating: TL

INSTINCT TITLE

• 1st Q at the Novice level obtained in one of the first two attempts at the game
• IBAR – IBRH – IAWP – IGTG – ITL

NOVICE TITLE

• Requires 3 Qs at the Novice level
• NBAR – NBRH – NAWP – NGTG – NTL
• Expert stream
  • NBARX – NBRHX – NAWPX – NGTGX – NTLX
  • NBARX2 – NBRHX2 – NAWPX2 – NGTGX2 – NTLX2 etc.

ADVANCED TITLE

• Requires 4 Qs at the Advanced level
• ABAR – ABRH –AAWP – AGTG – ATL
• Expert stream
  • ABARX – ABRHX –AAWPX – AGTGX – ATLX
  • ABARX2 – ABRHX2 –AAWPX2 – AGTGX2 – ATLX2 etc.

MASTER TITLE

• Requires 5 Qs at the Master level
• MBAR – MBRH – MAWP – MGTG – MTL
• Expert stream
  • MBARX – MBRHX – MAWPX – MGTGX – MTLX
  • MBARX2 – MBRHX2 – MAWPX2 – MGTGX2 – MTLX2 etc.

CHAMPION TITLE

• Requires 7 Qs at the Champion level
• CHBAR – CHBRH – CHAWP – CHGTG – CHTL
• Champion progresses directly to Grand Champion, there is no Expert stream

GRAND CHAMPION TITLE

• Requires 15 Qs at the Champion level (8 more than the previous title)
• GCHBA – GCHBH – CGHAP – GCHGT – GCHTL

GRAND CHAMPION EXPERT STREAM TITLES

• 25 Qs total at the Champion level (10 more than the previous title, and every 10 Qs thereafter)
• Expert stream
  • GCHBAX – GCHBHX – GCHAPX – GCHGTX – GCHTLX
  • GCHBAX2 – GCHBHX2 – GCHAPX2 – GCHGTX2 – GCHTLX2 ect.

EXCELLENT TITLE

• Requires 2 Qs at the Excellent level
• EXBA – EXBH – EXAP – EXGT – EXTL

EXCELLENT BRONZE TITLE

• 6 Qs total at the Excellent level (4 more than the previous title)
• EXBABR –EXBHBR – EXAPBR – EXGTBR – EXTLBR

EXCELLENT SILVER TITLE

• 12 Qs total at the Excellent level (6 more than the previous title)
• EXBASI – EXBHSI – EXAPSI – EXGTSI – EXTLSI

EXCELLENT GOLD TITLE

• 20 Qs total at the Excellent level (8 more than the previous title)
• EXBAGO – EXBHGO – EXAPGO – EXGTGO – EXTLGO

EXCELLENT PLATINUM TITLE AND EXPERT STREAM

• 30 Qs total at the Excellent level (10 more than the previous title, and every 10 Qs thereafter)
• EXBAP – EXBHP – EXAPP – EXGTP – EXTLP

TEAM RELAY
There is only one level of difficulty in Team Relay, however a dog can follow this progression:

• TRRD = TEAM RELAY RATTING DOG: 2 Qs in Team Relay
• TRBR = TEAM RELAY BRONZE: 5 Qs total in Team Relay (previous title +3 new Qs)
• TRSI = TEAM RELAY SILVER: 10 Qs total in Team Relay (previous title +5 new Qs)
• TRGO= TEAM RELAY GOLD: 20 Qs total in Team Relay (previous title +10 new Qs)
• TRP = TEAM RELAY PLATINUM: 30 Qs total in Team Relay (previous title +10 new Qs).
• At the Platinum level, handlers may continue competing in Team relay to obtain additional titles for each additional 10 Qs: TRPX, TRPX2, TRPX3

Les titres sont reconnus par le Club Canin Canadien, à l'exception des titres de Terriers artificiels. On ne sait pas encore si les titres de poursuite en ruelle 2026 ou les nouveaux titres du parcours Expert seront reconnus par le CCC. Nous mettrons cette page à jour dès que nous aurons plus de détails.

TITRE CHAMPION

• Nécessite 7 Q de niveau Champion
• CHBAR – CHBRH – CHAWP – CHGTG – CHTL
• Le niveau Champion passe directement au niveau Grand Champion, il n'y a pas de parcours Expert.

TITRE GRAND CHAMPION

• Nécessite 15 Q de niveau Champion total, soit 8 de plus que le titre précédent
• GCHBA – GCHBH – CGHAP – GCHGT – GCHTL

TITRE GRAND CHAMPION PARCOURS EXPERT

• 25 Q de niveau Champion total (10 de plus que le titre précédent, et tous les 10 Q par la suite)
• Parcours Expert 
  • GCHBAX – GCHBHX – GCHAPX – GCHGTX – GCHTLX

• 12 Q de niveau Excellent total (soit 6 de plus)

TITRE EXCELLENT OR

• 20 Q de niveau Excellent total (soit 8 de plus)
• EXBAGO – EXBHGO – EXAPGO – EXGTGO – EXTLGO

TITRE EXCELLENT PLATINE ET PARCOURS EXPERT

• 30 Q de niveau Excellent total (10 de plus que le titre précédent, et tous les 10 Q par la suite)

• Parcours Expert

RELAIS EN ÉQUIPE
Il n’y a qu’un seul niveau de difficulté en Relais, mais le chien peut compléter la carrière suivante:

• TRRD = TITRE CHIEN DE SPORT RATIER À RELAIS: 2 Q en relais
• TRBR = TITRE DE RELAIS BRONZE: 5 Q au total en relais (soit 3 de plus)
• TRSI = TITRE DE RELAIS ARGENT: 10 Q au total en relais (soit 5 de plus)
• TRGO = TITRE DE RELAIS OR: 20 Q au total en relais (soit 10 de plus)
• TRP = TITRE DE RELAIS PLATINE: 30 Q au total en relais (soit 10 de plus)
• Après le niveau Platine, les manieurs peuvent continuer à concourir dans le relais par équipe pour obtenir des titres supplémentaires pour chaque 10 Q supplémentaires : TRPX, TRPX2, TRPX3
